Born in rural England linda spent her youth Competing and teaching horse riding following the classical guidelines set out by the British Horse society.

in 1997 she emigrated to Canada. This changed everything for Linda she was exposed to a wide variety of styles and methods of horse training and riding most of which seemed to work. Which made her question everything she thought she knew. She embarked on a quest to look beyond the text books of her youth and find answers to questions she never knew she had concerning equine behaviour and communication. Many of these answers are revealed in her first book “The Horse Watcher”. But this was only the start of her writing career she has gone on to author 5 more equine related books all of which feature her beautiful fine art photography.

Linda’s books are not only entertaining and enlightening but they are also a thing of beauty. These are the books you casually arrange on your coffee table rather than store away on your book shelf.

Artist Linda Finstad painted over 100 pictures to create “chicken wisdom” which provides a light-hearted look at life through the eyes of a chicken. However as the collection of paintings grew, so did her interest in her subjects. She developed many burning questions about their origin, physiology and natural behaviour. Where did chickens come from and how long had they been domesticated? How long do they live and how many different species are there? How much sleep does a chicken need and do they snore? Why can’t chickens fly? How do chickens show affection? Within the book you will find answers to questions you never knew you had. Warning - this book contains adult humour not intended for children
