Ten Years of Allergies Bite But Taste Good

Updated: Mar 23

Hello Allergens!

Welcome to Allergies Bite But Taste Good!

As of March 24 Allergies Bite But Taste Good will become Ten Years old!

!Fun Fact

Originally Allergies Bite But Taste Good was first coined as Allergies Bite But They Can Still Taste Good. (A bit wordy for my liking.)

At the time and Pascha and I were enjoying the Gluten-free life on a Paleo way of eating and at the time we found great success on that way of eating. Pascha loved the Paleo so much she wanted to centralized Allergies Bite exclusively toward the way of eating. My first reaction was saying it was a bad idea seeing how our way of eating had changed at the time from Gluten-Free to Paleo, and (allergy restricted foods a year later) and sugar-free. I though fixing our platform to one way of eating was a bad idea, especially since we ended up changing to Keto then to Carnivore, to Lion Diet as well.

As we continue to go through making, creating, and publishing. I never anticipated this little concept of creating food substations would expand having weekly videos and most notably it's own website. When we started this YouTube Channel I never thought the journey would go this far in fact if you look our first video Making Pumpkin Seed Milk and Pulp Flour was posted Feb.1 2018. (Six years ago)

As YouTube says, Let's rewind and see how this decade of food alternatives has gone and what we've learnt.

Pumpkin Seed Flour
Pulp Flour

Our first revolution in our dietary journey was Pulp Flour. Learning there was a use for this mush of wet pumpkin seed pieces from Pumpkin Seed Milk felt like a milestone to us. To find a a way to work around Almond Flour. This was at the time something we didn't see other videos doing when making nut milk. We watched a few other and they said they just threw the pulp away. (The waste bothered Pascha into being inventive) It's funny to think but could his have unknowingly foreshadowed Meat Flour in our future?

It is amazing to think that our Meat Flour video from 2021 exploded in 2023. All credit to the company that created a way to produce and promote it to the Carnivore influencers.

One of the toughest things we did on Allergies Bite But Taste Good YouTube Channel was taking on a 100 Day Carnivore Challenge. Before that we only had done 30 videos in the span of two years, while in 2023 alone we uploaded 70 videos. At this moment we have 332 videos on our YouTube Channel and counting. Since that challenge it's hard to believe how much our WOE has changed.

From the hundred day challenge to now I believe I can speak for Pascha and myself that we have really grown as both in making videos, being comfortable in front of the camera, and also having people around the world watching us and what we are doing. I don't think it needs to be said but these videos aren't scripted so when a joke doesn't land or we fumble on what we are trying to say we just do a take 2 in the moment. Nothing is planned out. We've become better, our videos are shorter and our creativity has exploded in recent years.

Fun Fact! The reason we chose this particular intro style was because food substations is all about shifting and adjusting. We also wanted a fun introduction tune. (This is the full theme from Pinnacle Studios)

Gluten Free cookbook
Eat At Your Own Risk $35.00

But videos aren't all that came from Allergies Bite. We also recently released our first cookbook under Author Squared 8 months ago. Allergies Bite But Taste Good Eat At Your Own Risk was created to help people struggling with all three Gluten, Dairy, and Egg allergies.

We aren't done there though! We are currently working on our next cookbook. Here's a table of recipes all sorted out for our next cookbook. We nearly have all the recipes for the cookbook on the table. Only a few recipes left to make and include. (It is going to be larger and have more recipes than in Eat At Your Own Risk)

The biggest notable recent announcement was www.allergiesbite.com going live January 14. What is great about the website is that we've tried to make it easy to filter out typical allergies and if you are curious the YouTube video is linked to their recipes. So if reading the recipe doesn't make sense you can watch it and get a clearer understanding of what we mean.

So long as life goes as it is, we are fully intend on creating new recipes, videos, cookbooks, and expanding the website and we hope you continue to stick around and enjoy what we have to offer.

Thank you for your time.
