Can it really be done? Can we create not only a new reading structure but present it in a new illustrative design? For book 20 that is an absolute...
YES!
When I'm looking for inspiration I typically flip through my past work. Looking at the art style, reading structure, story structure, and even the page structure. The idea of left/right independent pages of Border Shift and Sibling Strife came from looking over Trash Monsters, Never Give Up... Hope, and Bedroom Mayhem.
Centered Adventure's came after flipping through mainly four different books. Garfield's Mini Mysteries A Golden Look, Look Book, Captain America Civil War, Border Shift and Sibling Strife.
After looking over these books the question came to mind, What if I inverted the structure Civil War?
I have a few books like Civil War where both covers of the book are the front and you read to the middle but I've never seen where you start in the middle and read two different endings. This is my First Centered book to be released and I do have plans of having at least one more with this specific layout.
If you think this is the last of unique reading styles I do have a few more in the works that I can't wait to reveal and announce.
With most of the story done and talking to Pascha over the the art design Pascha made a point. The story while uniquely designed is overly simplistic. It need something to make it POP! So what did she come up with?
Paper Quilling!
So just when lockdowns started we were busy ordering thin strips of paper from... China. Nothing questions you more than receiving a package from a place a major virus originated from and wondering, Should we really open this right now? Keep in mind at this time experts were also saying you should keep your groceries in the vehicle over night just incase it was on your potatoes. Pretty obvious we opened the package and the book has been completed after a long tedious process of spinning dozens and dozens of thin pieces of paper to make the Van Gogh like illusion. Fun fact the Gondola (see image above) was the first picture Pascha Illustrated. Trees out of cut paper and the metal rail is a piece of necklace from Goodwill.
The story itself is quite simple as it's about two people Debbie and Bruce meeting up in the middle of the book and being unable to recall what sort adventures happened so they go their separate ways and once they reach the end head back to the center and the story repeats. I hope you like our 20th release milestone and are entertained by the unique reading style and illustrative design.
Thank you for your time
