Why Author Squared?
What is the significance of the name?
The original idea of Author Squared was a story about four children that decide to team up and write a book together. Each one having a different writing style. While the idea never really moved it was placed in Green Pea Goes To Salad Bowl school as a foreshadowing secret.
Incidentally it’s become shelved for other stories and the team recycled into my new indie-publishing name. A square has more than one side as I’ve covered four different mediums of writing.
Poetry, Picture, Chapter, Cookbooks.
Perhaps if I work on more styles Author Squared will evolve to Author Pentagon or Author Cube. 😂

Out of the first twenty released titles, eleven of them have been square shaped and more are on the way.
Who is Chance Hansen?
Let me give a little bit of information about the man behind the madness.
I’m Chance Hansen a cartoon necktie wearing author from Alberta, Canada. I’m a clean writer and focus with a balance of encouraging, moral stories and fluff books.
I like being creative and pushing my creativity to the limit. I don’t even know what is next for Author Squared.
My main focus is on children’s picture books with Mid-grade and YA slowly being prepared for release. I love to support local authors and writers. I have learned a lot through the years and still learning a lot. I don’t know how often I’ll be writing a blog as quite often I think my creativity is far more interesting than my life but I have done a few posts on Goodreads a long time ago.
What's next?
There are many things I'm looking forward to revealing. The future of our books is bright and exciting.
